Online Services

The surgery are happy to offer online services to patients through SystmOnline. You can register for our online services using our online registration forms. The surgery would recommend that each individual has a separate application (should you wish to have access for your children under 13 yrs).

Online services available:

  • View, book or cancel doctor appointments
  • View a list of your current medication and send repeat prescription requests
  • View summary of your medical record and detailed coded entries
  • View pathology results – where available
  • Please note that full clinical record is not currently available

If you apply for our online services online, please then come to the surgery during opening hours with two forms of photographic proof of identification e.g, passport or driving licence. Should you not be able to provide photographic ID, please provide two letters (formal e.g. utilities/bank) with your name and home address on. Please avoid busy times of the day e.g. first thing in the morning and especially Monday mornings.

Reception staff will be able to organise your application if all forms are available and you will be emailed your unique ID and passphrase. Reception will ask you to verify any email address we have recorded for you and ask if you could provide one should we not have this recorded.

Sending an email to a verified email address ensures that you do not lose any information that could be used to gain access to your identity. Should you wish to have a printout, please let reception know at the time.

As you will be registered with a specific doctor, you should only use this system to book a routine appointment with the doctor you are registered with. If patients incorrectly book appointments with the wrong doctor, we will have to cancel the appointment. If there are no available appointments for your doctor, you can either visit our Consulting Room or contact the surgery to request an appointment.

At present it is only possible for you to book a single doctor, nurse practitioner or blood test appointment via the online system. Please contact the surgery to request an appointment with a practice nurse or healthcare assistant. If you are unsure as to whether you need a doctor, nurse practitioner or nurse appointment, please contact the surgery.

If you subsequently decide that you no longer require the appointment, please ensure that it is cancelled to enable the time to be offered to someone else. Failure to cancel two online appointments will result in your online account being suspended.

If you are not sure whether you need an appointment with a clinician, you may phone for advice from the NHS 111 service at any time. You will not be charged for the call from landlines.

Improved access appointments are available to book via our online services and you will find that you are also able to book an appointment with the nurse practitioner.

Choose the slot that suits you, enter your details, and you can book yourself an appointment even during the night or weekend when the surgery is closed. The system sends an email to the surgery so that they can know to expect you at that appointment. This also removes the slot from the list of appointments offered on this website so that there will be no double bookings. You will see a booking confirmation on screen (which you may print out) and if you enter your email address, you will receive a confirmation email.

The appointment system does not retain any of your details on this computer, it simply sends them by email to the surgery. For this reason, the system is as secure and confidential as any email. If you are not happy to send your name, date of birth, phone number (and possibly your email address) by email to the surgery then you should not use this system.

Repeat Prescriptions

Please note, when requesting a repeat prescription, you need to state in the comments box which pharmacy you would like it sent to (prescriptions are sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy unless you advise that you wish to collect a paper copy from the surgery). Some patients have already told us that they always want prescriptions to go to a particular pharmacy. If you wish to change the destination, please ensure that you write in the comments box. We still require three working days to process prescription requests.
